Our team was asked to fundamentally redesign PayPal.com for small businesses. Our redesigning process included meeting with business owners across the United States, helping to form their strategy, and wireframing possible design directions. The 10Pearls team was also forming a branding and conversion strategy for the site, as well as working with the launch team to ensure go live and a consistent experience across the business and personal components of PayPal.com. HughesNet asked 10Pearls to create a customer-facing account management mobile app that would allow customers to buy bandwidth, create and manage support requests, and monitor usage. The self-service app would also provide HughesNet with valuable customer insights and would integrate with several CRM, IT, and business systems. Working under a tight deadline, 10Pearls conducted user research and a competitive analysis to prioritize features for the first release. We approached this project from the perspective of service design, determining how the mobile app would complement and integrate with existing channels of communication. In addition to designing, building, and deploying the app, we developed a strategy for driving adoption through a simple, seamless login and onboarding experience. We also created data strategy and implemented the appropriate analytics tools to help HughesNet collect customer insights. We currently manage continuous DevOps for HughesNet and are iterating subsequent releases, providing maintenance and support, and managing their cloud environments. Telmate, a company focused on providing secure communication technology for prisons to help inmates break the cycle of recidivism, wanted to build a disruptive technology platform that reduces the cost of monitoring parolees. 10Pearls was asked to take this idea from the back of a napkin to an MVP in 60 days. We rose to the challenge, applying the proprietary Lean Product Accelerator™ process to move quickly from idea to solution. Using biometric authentication, geo-location, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, the solution replaces parolees’ anklets with a powerful mobile app that uses intelligent facial and voice recognition to identify the parolee. The app enables case managers to send automated alerts to parolees about upcoming appointments or action items, notifies case managers when parolees have unanticipated location changes, and allows for secure, instant communication between the parolee and case manager. The app also gives case managers a richer understanding of offenders’ behaviors and captures information about their overall wellbeing (not just their whereabouts). With an efficient dashboard that helps the case manager customize alerts, set safe travel zones, and manage data, the platform reduces the time and costs associated with supervising low-risk offenders on parole, probation, pre-trial or work release. The success of this solution and other cutting-edge technologies in Telmate’s portfolio resulted in their acquisition by their competitor, GTL. 10Pearls continues to iterate and advance this and other solutions with GTL over a multi-year partnership. Betts Recruiting to redefine their corporate identity and become a technology platform. 10Pearls was engaged at the outset of this this transformation project to conceptualize and then build a first-in-class recruiting platform. Key to the transition was developing a mobile product that could seamlessly modernize and scale their operations through automation. Through our proprietary Lean Product Accelerator™ discovery process, 10Pearls delineated the various business needs and took a user-centric approach in the design phase to optimize the customer experience. Using a streamlined, agile methodology, 10Pearls rapidly produced an MVP that reflected the client’s specific preferences. The solution leverages machine learning and automation to rapidly match candidates with opportunities and break down barriers between individual hiring managers. The Betts Connect platform was soft-launched in Jan 2019 and is hosted and maintained by 10Pearls on the Amazon cloud. The team has continued to iterate through several new releases as part of a long-term partnership. 10Pearls was engaged by Decisiv to support their business transformation initiative from end to end – shifting the business from services to technology. 10Pearls used the Lean Product Accelerator™ approach, to identify opportunities and build technology that would intelligently automate and streamline the business. We worked closely with Decisiv to align the technology with myriad business processes and create a frictionless user experience. The solution we developed in partnership with Decisiv truly transformed communication between fleets, service providers, and assets through an intranet of back-end APIs, white-labeled mobile apps, and web applications. Artificial intelligence was also used to improve fleet routing and allow vehicles to receive scheduled maintenance service efficiently along the optimal route. The solution includes an important mobile component which ensures mechanics are servicing the right parts – compatible with augmented reality plugins to visualize maintenance locations and activities.
