The project consisted of two modules: ArcViz and Arena. Both were based on the same core solution – a VR arena with motion tracking. ArcViz enables viewing architectural designs in a VR arena on a 1:1 scale. Our client wanted to provide individuals from the architectural industry with an advanced and modern tool to showcase their designs. The idea was to use VR to make the experience immersive and implement useful tools in the environment. Arena is a VR motion-tracking shooter game for up to 6 players. It’s a PVP/PVE competition designed for a physical arena which makes the experience feel natural and more realistic than regular VR shooters. Besides the precise tracking and coordination of each player’s movement, we spent quite some time implementing peripheral hardware. This includes exquisite devices like haptic vests and a custom-made rifle. The target device in this project was the Valve Index VR headset combined with a lightweight PC in a backpack that provided the necessary computing power. We developed the software in Unity, using C# and several external plugins. Visual results video
Our clientneeded a tool to help businesses improve their communication & teamwork, leadership and accountability culture. By combining our client’s expertise in the field of training and our experience in creating VR applications, we have created a tool that takes soft skills training to the next level. The action of this VR soft skills training takes place in a submarine and a helicopter during rescue missions. To properly run this training, seven people need to attend – five of them control the submarine, and two are in a helicopter. The app includes three different missions and tutorials. The significant uniqueness of this project is the extraordinary communication mechanic. These mechanics put a strong focus on teamwork, as people are fully dependent on each other. Our team was responsible for developing the whole application. Most of the 3D models and assets were custom-made by our Art Team. The technologies and tools we used for development include the Unity engine, C# and Photon. This training platform was created for the Meta Quest 2 headset. We are working on porting the application to the Pico Neo 3 environment.
The original idea was to develop an augmented reality solution that could be used during industry events. The pandemic situation changed these initial plans. Our client decided the application would be used to boost their marketing campaigns. They planned to run an internet campaign with a QR code that would transfer users to the AR web app. As a web-based augmented reality project, the application had to be optimized to work on different browsers and operating systems. We also put a lot of effort into ensuring that the interactive elements and 3D animations perform well on almost any hardware. Furthermore, our goal was to create a QR code that would be an AR marker at the same time. We had to make sure it would work smoothly when printed on chalk paper and in different lighting conditions. For this project, we used the Three.js framework for development. The AR web app was created for Chrome, Firefox and Safari and could be operated both on Android and iOS.

With this application, railway workers should know how to conduct maintenance of selected rail components. Thanks to the HoloLens training they can see their correct visual representations and get information about the individual components and maintenance procedures. The entire application was to be made for the Microsoft HoloLens device, completed with gestures, eye movement tracking and voice navigation. Navigation in the HoloLens training app is done using gestures or voice commands. The user has a range of options to choose from, which are combined with an interactive three-dimensional hologram. The VR mine training includes all known scenarios leading to injuries, teaching miners the correct order of security operations. All the features of the app allow users to exercise their practical skills that are essential for their workplace. We combined realistic sounds of working machines with detailed graphics (based on real pictures) of the mining area and equipment - creating a highly immersive simulation of working conditions. Wide functionality of the VR mine safety training includes moving around the realistic models of working equipment, which size and placement imitates the real working environment. As in real life, miner have his own set of virtual tools - which can be used in a few ways. All activities have their consequences, following a structure of logical tree - created under the client’s strict supervision. There is also a possibility for an ‘exam session’, where all tips and instructions are hidden - forcing participant to provide the right order by they own. Such solution should be mandatory for all workers in order to avoid employee reluctance due to missing knowledge (as well as to avoid worst-case scenarios, including death). VR mine safety training decreases the cost of training by eliminating the necessity of going 700 m down the mine (which costs 30 min one way and can distract other miners).
