When the client first turned to Alpacked, it only had a monolith and only one application on EC2s, without infrastructure, cubers, pipelines, etc. So, the development team of 6 people, most of which were based in India, created it from scratch. The application had to be properly installed in Amazon using IaaC. The client came with a request to create a SaaS solution on Ansible in a month; they were going to make a scalable infrastructure using Ansible and EC2 instances. No opportunity to debug issues and reprocess failed transactions. Solutions: Offered a new tech stack: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and X-Ray. Implemented main nodes of the data pipeline, data storage, and caching, data sync flows. Rebuilt and optimized microservices.
