<p>1953 marked a significant change in the United States, with a return of prosperity following the end of the Korean War. Dwight D. Eisenhower succeeded Harry S. Truman as the 34th President of the United States. The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom took place at Westminster Abbey, Walt Disney’s feature film Peter Pan premiered and transistor radios started to appear for sale.&nbsp;</p><p>1953 saw the growth of the buy now pay later mentality with car makers leading the way by allowing longer and longer periods to pay for your new car. As such the automotive industry boom began and the unemployment dropped to 2.9% and the increases in standard of living continued to grow. With the increasing demand for products and responding to the growing need for fuels, products, and transport services a small company was born in LaBarge Wyoming called Johnson Oil Company. The company was founded on simple principles of honesty, integrity and professional service, and since that time has grown along with its customer base to become one of the largest fuel carriers in the Western United States. Thirty-Seven years later Johnson Oil Company would change its name to Alpha Transport, Inc. to reflect its most current service as a petroleum carrier.</p><p>Currently Alpha has dedicated terminal facilities in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Arizona with service areas that extend to all 13 Western States. Alpha also offer logistics and broker services than include Box Van, Flatbed, and specialized services including Hazmat and custom transportation.
