Arif Bayraktar started off the business from a small machinery plant where pistons were repaired and shafts were maintained. In 1947, the company owned two vessels. The only aim were to build their own steel vessels with their own capital while protecting their earned respect within the national market. With that aim in mind, it did not take so long to reach to that dream. Company’s first steel constructed vessel was built in 1978; still serving within Turkish Cabotage waters.</p>
