Blue Ridge Industries was founded in 1985 as a custom injection molder and assembler of plastic parts. Over the years, the company has expanded its injection molding capabilities, operating presses ranging from 100 to 950 tons. In addition to molding, BRI offers a range of assembly options, robotic painting, specialized decorating, rapid prototyping, and end-user fulfillment services to meet the needs of its customers. The company is a woman-owned business.
As the company grew, so did its facility. BRI moved to its current location in 1989, and the 25,000 sq. ft. facility was later expanded to 75,000 sq. ft. in 1994. Today, the company occupies nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehouse space.
BRI's strategic location contributes to its success. Located on I-81 in Winchester, Virginia, the company enables quick shipment of products to distribution centers along the eastern coastal region of the United States. Its proximity to rail car and bulk truck facilities also provides fast access to large resin shipments.
