Our job was to take what the platform could do and make it easy for everyone to use. Challenges We had a whole list of things to build for the project. This included features such as advanced search for candidates, built-in messaging, social profiles, skill assessments and breaking down CVs. Our goal was not only to create these but to make sure they really worked well for users.? Solution Using our know-how, we started building these features, making sure they were easy to use and worked just right. The key to everything was constant communication with stakeholders. This allowed us to understand the platform and what its users wanted, while also making sure the UX was top- notch.? Intro Fireweed is doing something pretty cool - they're changing the game for the voluntary carbon market and giving a valuable boost to small landowners in Africa. Their big dream? They want to make the carbon market fair for everyone. They brought us on board to help turn their initial product to life and turn their ideas into something real. Challenges The tasks on our plate were pretty complex. Our goal was to build a top-notch structure that's efficient, realiable, and scalable. The primary functionalities we had to get just right were Mapbox and Stripe. This called for a combo of creative and smart solutions. Another challenge was turning early Figma designs into a fully-fledged interactive web application. Solution As soon as we had a solid architecture in place, we focused on user signup and security, creating a secure login process. We used the right tools to clearly show important data like carbon figures and project stats. We modified Mapbox to optimize performance by implementing advanced marker features and methods for easy data retrieval. Our priority was to make the user experience seamless, this was done by enhancing visibility controls and user-interactive options. In solving the financial interface challenge, we designed a digital wallet system with Stripe, allowing users to seamlessly deposit and withdraw funds.? Intro? Channeled is all about making customer interactions easier and more valuable. It transforms routine customer conversations into an organized, actionable strategy. The main idea is to make managing your workspace on platforms like Slack simpler. Challenges? We ran into a bunch of challenges, like old code, too many repositories, expensive AWS costs, restrictive Slack API, and AI that hadn't been fully utilized. Rather than let this scare us, we saw it as our chance to turn these stumbling blocks into stepping stones for a big change. Solution? Moving from a purely Slack-focused application to a user-engaging web application was just the beginning. Facing an issue with our sprawling and outdated codebase, we decided to halt our rapid development temporarily to focus on consolidating our repositories and improving our infrastructure for greater efficiency. Switching to a monorepo structure solved our problems, helping us develop Slack and web apps in parallel and ensuring consistent quality with strict rules and automated testing. To cut costs, we moved from AWS to hosting our app on Vercel and using Neon's serverless database. Impact? We had helped raise the bar for code quality and compliance standards. This shift gave us a huge boost in development, it allowed us to focus on what our customers wanted, without getting bogged down in the technicalities.
