<p>Envision Creative Group was started in 2001 by David Smith, after a 9-year career as a marketing director for an Austin-based technology company. As marketing director, David had been a client for a multitude of local and national agencies. Once the company was bought out for its technology (as tech companies liked to do in the early 2000s), David had the perfect opportunity to start a creative services agency that strictly embraced the good parts (and did away with the bad) of the client-agency relationship. His client-side experience, combined with a marketing degree, would provide a unique foundation for an agency that favored the client’s true goals, as opposed to just being uber-creative.</p>
