Made for a labor intensive industry, ProNovos is a project management tool that simplifies construction project data with dashboards and graphical visualization. We made the solution for web and mobile with industry best practices in mind. Apart from the back end engineering and experience design we also did custom development.
Galaxy Weblinks designed and deployed a multi-tiered, subscription-based E-Learning platform that enabled WSJ administrators to create coursework and tests across 17 disciplines and 426 sub topics. These materials could be made available to member schools, their instructors, and students. A hierarchical content management structure made it easy to designate access levels tailored to different educational environments, and an alert system was created to notify subscribing institutions and their instructors about the availability of new materials and tests. For students, testing can be conducted via the Web or mobile devices, with time-tracking and scoring services included. Instructors can log in to receive detailed reports on class and individual student performance. WSJ is able to associate its content with the coursework and testing materials, thereby building brand awareness with a new generation of prospective subscribers.
Galaxy developed a complex database architecture that used a public private encryption key to pair user info with corresponding jewelry info between the different databases. We faced numerous what if’s scenarios and what next questions in order provide a holistic solution that provides jewelry appraisal and valuation. This multi-user solution has specific functionalities for its different users. Jewelry owners, our the end-users, have access to a step-by-step input system to add individual jewelry items or create a collection for items worn together (think earring/pendant set) with the ability to add as much detail as possible– types of stones, shape, size, metal involved, certification, store, location, year, certificates, receipts and images. This data can be saved, shared and printed into a PDF format. Users can now see the system generate an estimated value of the item/s or choose to get an appraisal by qualified valuators. To help owners input their jewelry into the system, the solution also has agents to help. These are usually affiliated with different jewelry brands and/or valuators.
Galaxy was able to create a working marketplace with multiple filters within the complex algorithm to create best possible combinations. Advanced filters were implemented to negate the ones that did not match specified requirements. Common filters include zipped based location, type of services, cost per hour, the level of expertise and of course, availability. While creating the front-end required great care in terms of consistent designing on all four apps. The MVP was thorough to accommodate pricing, invoicing, payment processing, and SMS notification. Sms notification is an added advantage when the consumer is not be logged on to the internet. Apart from this, the payment processing system was designed to create hassle-free payments for both the consumers and professionals. While the consumers have it easy, professionals get direct ACH deposits in their bank accounts against the work completed.
Galaxy Weblinks was enlisted to overhaul the entire system yet, where possible, repurpose existing applications and architecture. For a far more reasonable budget, we were able to redesign the back- and front-end systems to create a clean, intuitive, modern club management dashboard and public facing web design. We also created innovative member management, event management, fundraising, e-store, sponsorship and reporting applications in a truly modular approach that enables clubs to easily activate only the tools they want. The reporting system allows for a roll-up, drill-down reporting for the effective member, volunteer and financial reporting. More recently, we have been putting the finishing touches on a Wizard-based, point-and-click design approach that makes the entire setup process dramatically easier and intuitive, even for true technical novices. The Wizard is a first-of-its-kind approach to this kind of system and includes the ability to design and implement often times cumbersome member registration forms in just minutes. Similarly, our e-store application for club fundraising includes inventory management, tax and fulfillment services that effectively mimic an actual e-tail platform – but for booster clubs.
Galaxy Weblinks met with school stakeholders to better understand and identify specific end-user requirements as they pertained to administrators, teachers, parents, and students. We created UI/UX wireframes that identified and overcame shortcomings in the initial Children’s Manor portal concepts, ensuring that the system would meet all and not just some of the school’s many unique requirements. Once the plan was agreed upon, Galaxy Weblinks worked at an aggressive pace to create distinct, integrated administrative, teacher, reporting, and communication modules that, among other things, enabled the school to more easily: Manage and update 100+ educational activities, each with three distinct learning levels Track and report children’s progress to their parents Regularly apprise parents of their child’s progress Create and maintain teacher and students databases To do this we built a school portal with a permissions-based management schema that granted the right access to the right people, along with reporting tools for easily monitoring and tracking all system data. Additionally, Galaxy Weblinks dramatically improved the school’s record-keeping capacity at both the administrator and teacher levels.
Galaxy designed a multi-level mobile application that enabled users to easily download the app, register and immediately begin to accrue credits known as ‘Kazi cash’ or ‘Kash’ based on their participation in different hosted events. This reward system is tailored to the degree to which a user engages (i.e. more points for creating or hosting an event vs. simply participating in an existing event). Accrued Kash can be used to receive discounts on products and services from participating vendors. Specific application features include: Fixed and variable data tied to events and their participants (e.g. name, gender, age, etc., along with mileage, age, location, etc.). Filters to assist registrants in identifying groups and activities by name, type, location and other data variables. Complete integration with Google Maps Ability to create unique coupon codes Robust, fully editable registration, RSVP and Waitlisting system Event calendar for one-time and recurring activities Tracking and sharing user event history and ability to follow activities of others Kazi also included interfaces for vendors to easily create unique offerings for Kazi participants to redeem Kash, establish expiration dates, calculate commissions and more.
