Ken Rubin & Company

In 1981, Ken graduated with high honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara while majoring in Business Economics and Accounting. He began his career working in the tax department of the 11th largest CPA firm worldwide, Laventhol & Horwath, CPAs.

In 1984, at the age of 25, Ken started his own Certified Public Accounting firm in San Diego. Ken Rubin & Company, CPA’s has become a full service tax, accounting, consulting and financial planning firm services. Ken is an accomplished speaker and author.

In 1995, Ken became one of the first CPA’s nationwide to earn the prestigious Personal Financial Specialist (“PFS”) designation from the American Institute of CPA’s. There are currently only 4,000 CPA’s nationwide that specialize in financial planning.

Having been raised in a dental family, Ken naturally became intimately familiar with business, financial and tax issues pertaining to dental practices, and has developed specialized expertise to help dentists.

Ken Rubin was featured in Dental Economics for his unparalleled audit defense victories against the IRS in representing dentists across the nation that claimed Tax Credits based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) for intra-oral cameras.

In 2001, Ken co-founded the Academy of Dental CPA’s (ADCPA.) This specialized group of CPA firms across the nation provides unparalleled services to the dental industry. With their semi-annual three-day conferences and daily interactive email discussions the ADCPA combines its outstanding resources and expertise to share information and jointly develop resources to better serve the dental community.

In 2004, Ken opened Ken Rubin Practice Sales, Inc. , a dental brokerage company exclusively serving the San Diego dental community.
