With This App Saves Lives (TASL) app, they are motivated to put their mobile device away and focus on the road, improving driving safety. For driving time spent "behind the wheel without distraction" with the screen turned off or the TASL application running "on top", the user receives points that can be exchanged for prizes at program partners (online or at stationary shops) - discounts or free products. Additionally, we created separate websites for every shopping mall, allowing their customers to stay up to date with promotions and events, search for a favorite shop and find it on an interactive map. Run Events Calendar

For all the running enthusiasts out there, we prepared a mobile app which can be used to access information about running events in their neighborhood. A functional map not only makes it really easy for anyone to find an event for themselves, but also allows them to learn about the route, the localization, and the distance. Apart from the app, we have also created two versions of a logo, high fidelity mockups, and a graphic design for a web version of the calendar, which became accessible to all the runners. Read More

For skiers and fans of other winter sports, we created a guide to Polish, Czech, and Slovak resorts. The app includes information on weather conditions and maps. A description of each resort is enriched by a gallery, details about lifts and slopes, and a live webcam feed. The app uses an integrated API which makes it possible to download data about the resort and weather conditions from several sources at the same time. Read More

English speaking staff and translated documentation, a designated nurse, and a carer – those things made it possible. Our aim was to create a website as welcoming as the clinic itself, a website which the customers would want to come back to. Our aim was to create a loyalty program connecting two well-known brands, Wedel and PAYBACK, in order to enable the users to combine points from both systems. It was created for all shops which sell Wedel products - thanks to the connection with PAYBACK’s API, it was possible to add points from those products to the ones collected in the PAYBACK program. We created a loyalty programme which aimed at supporting sales representatives by encouraging them to compete with one another. This responsive platform included several levels of access and permission. Sales representatives could collect points, monitor their scores, and check the results of other participants. An administrator, on the other hand, could browse those scores and generate reports. Read More

PAYBACK is a program based mainly on solid arguments and rational thinking – when doing your everyday shopping, you collect points which you can later exchange for rewards (and thus actually save money). In such circumstances, a need to add a dash of fun into this perfectly rational world arose. Especially since the aim of the project was to engage its participants and to emerge in this new, yet very popular area – mobile games. We’ve created Punkto?ap, an arcade game with more than 20 levels. The game is seemingly simple – points are falling from pipes and a player has to catch as many as possible. Each player can register with his or her PAYBACK number to save the score and be a part of a global ranking. In the early stages, players could have won real PAYBACK points – collectively 40,000 each month. Read More

A smartphone-controlled IoT device for your car, created in the transparent technology spirit. The challenge The task was to create a secure and easy app integrated with Loxet, a smartphone-controlled proximity lock, anti-theft protection, and car-sharing device. The main challenge was to keep the app as transparent as possible, and not to allow anyone to intercept or break the access to the car. The solutions As usual, the KISS imperative helped. The solutions for the two main challenges can be described in one word each. Transparent = hands-free. Secure = offline. And so we did. We tackled iOS limitations to activate the lock swiftly and just by using proximity. We designed the key transfer security architecture so that the key is always encoded, only on the user’s device. And that is always. Even when users share the car by sending the permissions via SMS, e-mail or QR code. The results We now have a swiftly working, beautiful app operating on iOS and Android devices that allows people to share the car for a period of time or cyclically. It serves as a proximity lock and protects the car by blocking the ignition when the user is not near the car. The app is a core element of the product and, most importantly, it saves time and attention. It does not engage the users - they actually rarely have to do anything. It just works. It's transparent. About the project To eliminate bad judgment calls in tennis, various systems, and tools that track the ball's trajectory and calculate when it hits the court surface have been developed. The only issue here is that such advanced technology is available only at the highest level of competition. iChallenge is a mobile app that can easily change that, allowing everyone to have their virtual umpire. The challenge When developing the app, we actually had to face a number of challenges. The biggest issue was a low capacity of mobile devices - a smartphone has to allow the app to carry out some advanced calculations, in order to decide whether the ball was in or out. Although the field of image analysis is still widely researched by scientists, our team had to do their own research in a short amount of time. We faced some difficulties in UX design as well since we had to make it obvious how to set it up and use the app in just a few steps. The process Our team was constantly brooding their knowledge of image processing and analysis, as we encountered some of the problems for the first time in our careers. We devoted a significant amount of time to the court calibration, detecting humans on the court, as well as identifying a tennis ball on every single video frame. In order to explore the best solutions, we turned to the university professors, who supported the project with their knowledge and expertise. A careful and in-depth analysis of all problems allowed us to use advanced algorithms while avoiding unnecessary workload for the developers. The result This is how iChallenge was created. The app enables precise line calling on any tennis court, and thus decides whether the ball was really in or out. After a proper setup, iChallenge records and monitors your game. If the situation is unclear, you can stop the game and let the app be the judge. Based on image analysis and data gathered, it will make the right decision. It’s already available for iOS, and soon will ready for Android as well. Read More
