Our customer, an International photo printer, turned to us to expand the functionality of their online Magento Stores and to improve their websites’ performance. Our Solution The Webprint technology team chose Maven to implement updates and extensions, allowing for interfaces to dynamically change price rules, let users edit and see better quality previews of their custom picture orders. We implemented a picture editor, allowing users more control and an instant preview of the product they are ordering. Also, Maven integrated the web store with third party pricing software via a custom built extension and streamlined the checkout process.
The Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), a Fortune500 enterprise and one of the world’s best-known airline companies, chose Maven as their Magento web store software development partner, with a digital agency Realvine (no longer in business) providing graphics and design. Our Solution The solution was an elegant and easy-to-use front-end, with an interface optimized for most desktop and mobile browsers, connected to the system back-end responsible for managing the complex logic. Maven developed a custom Magento theme from a PSD file provided by the design agency. We developed a number of intuitive product category filters and custom components allowing easy featured product management for the content managers. On the back end, we also developed custom product upload features for easy store migration from the previous platform. Interfaces connecting with airline loyalty programs (and special price rules for customers of different levels) were implemented, as well as unique packing slips that worked with existing logistics system and with the flight reservation system.
Our past client has referred us to Gimmee Jimmy’s Cookies, a B2B artisanal baked goods shop, to help them move their online store to the Magento platform. Our Solution Maven was recommended by one of our past clients to discuss how the very specific non-standard features could be added to the online store while simplifying the overall administrative complexity. We recommended a solution based on the Magento Community Edition platform, customized with only the extensions that would be in actual use. We created custom wireframes, UX design architecture and the project plan, which was approved and the brand new website was ready in less than two months. Some of the product features we added were a spreadsheet-based product import and export and the Sellercloud extension, allowing syndication on multiple marketplaces.
Our past client has referred us to Glass Tile Oasis, a tile retailer, to help them move their online store from custom platform to Magento and develop custom responsive theme. Our Solution Maven team provided complex data migration from custom platform to Magento. We have also developed custom Bootstrap-based responsive theme using client-side performance optimization approach. The solution was complicated by the lack of some pages and views among initially provided design files. Glass Tile Oasis required ability to sell samples of their products (only one per order and per customer), so Maven team developed custom product link type and appropriate functionality. Client also requested the implementation of registering flow for wholesale customers. To fulfill this request we develped detailed registration form and the added the manual approval functionality.
ur Magento desktop e-commerce website client Baby Park, the largest children’s goods megastore in Europe based in the Netherlands, engaged Maven to develop a custom Responsive theme and ongoing Magento support. Our Solution The Baby Park technology team decided to rebrand and to create an entirely new website, with higher image quality standards. The in-house designers produced a PSD file, based on which the Maven team built a custom Magento theme, allowing the store to stand out from those that use commercial, ready-to-use Magento store themes. In addition, Maven had developed and implemented the custom Product Compare feature, allowing customers to select up to 3 products and to compare each of their product features side by side.
A long-standing Magento e-commerce website client Fun and Function, an online retailer of developmental childrens’ toys, requested a separate Mobile Version of the website optimized for shopping on smartphones and tablet devices. Our Solution Having been maintaining and supporting the original Fun and Function website, Maven offered a contained solution for Mobile users that while building on an existing infrastructure would not affect the desktop website. The users across hundreds of mobile devices are re-routed to an interface optimized for easier navigation, shopping and checkout with user-friendly search and results display adjusted to any device, clean product detail pages with fewer products displayed at once and an easy swipe between product images, as well as touch-optimized navigation and drag-and-drop addition to the shopping cart.
