Project Details: Workplace designing is always a challenge because every business has different work culture, ethos and process routines. This invariably translates into a distinct set of demands in design terms. Pratap Organics property, situated in Navi Mumbai, with a floor plate of around 2500 sq. ft. was no different. The idea was to dress up the space for that corporate touch and a sophisticated ambience with a perfect blend of usability, style and substance. Large and small recessed led lights, mounted on the wide ceiling panels, running along the periphery of the reception area provide an optimal balance of illumination and urbane ambience while the dark grey & white PU panels, cut in triangular pieces, unevenly staggered on the wall and finished in grey laminate add a dash of glamor to this section. The spacious workstation has been intelligently designed to occupy the center of the property, surrounded by passages, typically along the three sides which lead to the rest of the sections such as conference / meeting areas and private cubicles. The white / orange, and white / green desks with geometrically planned suspended light fixture carefully places in the celling and floor elements, garnished with wooden stands / planter pots offer a sense of belonging, of being in touch with the nature. The cubicles have desks and back runners in deep grey shade with a full height mirror on the reverse side that creates an illusion of largeness. Separate storages are made available at the end of each workstation. Our intuitive design techniques allowed us to fashion clutter free aisles and nonintrusive cluster of storages which incidentally was one of the main design requirements of the client. The storages were textured with veneer finish / laminates, adding a warm earthly touch to the interiors. The conference room is simplicity personified with striped flooring, six orange and black chairs embracing a beautifully crafted wooden table done in classic wooden finish while the two, large hexagon light fixtures hung from the recessed ceiling provide enough illumination for a productive meeting. The overall interiors of this office are aesthetically appealing and alluring to enhance the working environment. To accentuate the space further, and give it a fresh look, vibrant artifacts have been placed at strategic places, each blending with the other seamlessly, transforming into a synergized environment. Project Details: “Good design seeks a wholesome solution to a strategic environment” asserts Mr. Milind Pai. This mantra is visible in all our projects and one of the reasons why our clients adore us. Creativity, space psychology (user-centric designs), exploitation of appropriate materials and distinctiveness form the pillars of our design juggernaut. No wonder then our projects reflect signature creative and functional values. Sapna Polyweave, a premium polypropylene mat material producer, located in the bustling Goregaon suburb of Mumbai is one such example. This 2800 sq. ft. commercial property was segregated into discrete working sections, adhering to hybrid office layout principles. While the receptionist’s table is custom-made, and crafted from a combination of deep brown marble and light wooden finish, interspaced with metal strips (laminate), the back wall is cladded in Satvario marble. This area is further accessorized with hanging metal lamps, accent lighting and fluted mirror paneling. Contemporary, dark green leather chairs sporting wooden legs, embellished with gold bands at the bottom give the whole space a rich and elegant appearance. Conference room/s boast large square hanging fixtures, thick white terrazzo stone table that accommodates 12 chairs / people and subtle wood paneled walls that literally run across all the sections of the office, seeping into the adjacent cubicles, amplified by large glass partition. A solo television set mounted at the head of the table infuses a sense of professionalism and discipline. On the other hand, general workstation sports triple, drawn-out desk separated by back-painted glass partitions. The roof sports miniature lamps while a single, stretched florescent lamp hangs beautifully across the entire length of this workstation. The setup has been limited to white shade and elegant wooden top. Recessed sections, just above the storage space are a thoughtful addition. It provides a perfect place to store and retrieve frequently used office essentials and also doubles up as display counters. A quiet and sublime cafeteria is dressed in an intriguing brick wall on one end, suitably energized with white terrazzo counter basin, dark serving platform, mirror and fine WPC louvers. The turquoise chairs add a conflicting but cheerful vibe to this often compromised space. The fantastic outside view of the executive cabins have been maintained through fundamental principles of interior design which includes clutter free, bare minimum fixtures, a single working desk with a provision to accommodate three guests and open shelves right behind the high back chair. Interestingly, stone-finished, dark grey laminate is used on all the walls of smaller cabins, meeting rooms and throughout the office.
Project Details: This 2400 square feet residential space, is a harmony personified in spite of its hugeness and sporting a variety of design zones. While the main door of the apartment is done up in dark matt veneer finish, embellished with gold metal strips, the surroundings, typically the stone wall and backlit Onyx nameplate strike a creative contrast. Even the foyer carries some of the intriguing exterior design elements such as stone cladding in a deep brown Italian marble and a designer mirror mounted on a beige stone finish console. The adjoining walls houses a Mandir and a shoe rack on either sides. The Living Room is designed along contemporary lines. This is achieved through assorted accessories and artefacts. The multi-coloured cushions on the beige sofa, provides the Zen factor while the marble-top centre table and royal blue chaise couch infuses an artistic and creative spur. Ornamental elements around the sides of the sofa wall such as metal profiles, mirrors & fluting slats heighten the luxurious feel of this space further. 3D wall murals, augmenting golden crystal chandelier and TV unit, finished in grey reflective glass completes the setting on a high note. The Bar section is a mixture of black marble-cladded counter and vertical metal bands in the front. A couple of bar stools sporting elegant gold legs and honey Onyx backlit back console top & dado provide a rich and intoxicating ambience. The client demanded distinct bedroom designs for the residents. Grand Parents’ bedroom is a combination of veneer and subtle fabrics. On the other hand the wardrobe is done up in veneer and leather boasting long metal handles. The bed-back wall is a blend of suede finished vertical half-round bars and fluting between veneer and metal profiles on sides. It also sports a cove lighting. We have exploited a Yellow, Grey & White theme in the youngster’s room along with metallic charcoal black wardrobe. The youthful character of this room is further accentuated with the use of hexagon pattern behind the headboard. The study and TV unit space in this section is made in distinct yellow frame study storage and a white fluid study top which slopes down, evolving into a TV shelf. The ceiling sports LED spot lights for a muffled and relaxing ambience. Master Bedroom is a unique amalgamation of beige trim and a tufted headboard and brown leatherette upholstery on the wall behind, suitably appended with brown back-painted glass panels. By using accent furniture pieces such as TV unit, study table and an inviting lounge chair by the window, MPA designers created a space that scores high on aesthetics and luxury. The Kitchen, a semi-modular affair, boasts a ‘no fuss’ design which offers this space an elegant look. It reflects generous amounts of white glossy finished surfaces and brown shutters. On the other hand brown quartz countertop, complementing backsplash and BLUM hardware not only balances the theme but enhances its glamour quotient further.
