Chiyoda International Corporation, the world's largest LNG engineering company based in Japan, boasts a rich history of renowned global projects spanning decades. Seeking a foothold in the American market, they began by setting up an office in Houston, renowned as the U.S. hub for oil and gas. Once their physical presence was established, they turned their attention to enhancing their digital presence, starting with their website. OWDT: web design company was tasked with establishing Chiyoda's digital presence and introducing it to the American market while crafting a strategy to enhance its U.S. brand identity. A key challenge in designing the website arose from Chiyoda's need to showcase its diverse range of services, as many potential clients were unaware of their extensive expertise in oil, gas, and petrochemical processes. To address this, we prioritized increasing the visibility of their services. Given their absence in the market, thorough research into their industry, business model, and target audience was crucial in shaping the website's development strategy. Chiyoda's corporate culture, deeply rooted in Japanese engineering principles, also guided the ethos of its digital presence.
Based in Texas, Healix, a leading provider of physician office-based infusion services, recognized the need for an enhanced digital presence as it expanded its expertise into various management and service markets. OWDT (web design company) stepped in to revamp Healix's website, catering to high-value and technical customers. The previous website's confusing layout and content prompted the creation of a new visual language, striking a balance between tradition and innovation. The user experience was streamlined for easier navigation, and interactive design elements were introduced to make service packages more accessible. Additionally, the website was fully optimized for mobile devices, reflecting the reality of a significant portion of its user traffic. We employ web design as a creative medium, harnessing the principles of psychology to intentionally elicit sensory responses that encourage users to engage in actions that are ultimately beneficial to them. As one of the world's top five superyacht builders, Ocean Alexander aimed to meet its customers' needs through advanced technology. They entrusted OWDT, a pioneering web-based technology firm, with the task of creating a flagship website. This new website had to exude the elegance and prestige of the Ocean Alexander brand while exceeding user expectations. Unlike the typical practice of completely overhauling websites every 24 months, Ocean Alexander sought a flexible system that could evolve over time. This scalability ensures that the brand can adapt to whatever the future holds. OWDT's work resulted in an enticing digital experience that beautifully showcases Ocean Alexander's luxury, transforming users into not only guests but also enthusiastic brand advocates. Notably, online contact form submissions increased by 10%, leading to a 7% growth in online leads converting to sales, with mobile revenue seeing a remarkable 68% increase. Their approach to web design leverages psychology to elicit specific user actions that benefit them, aiming for multilayered communication that resonates with our responsive faculties through content and design.
In 2022, Prince International Corporation, Ferro Corporation, and Chromaflo Technologies, all industry leaders, merged to create a larger company with enhanced material science and technology capabilities. This merger aimed to foster innovation, broaden customer reach, and strengthen operational resilience. The rebranding effort for this new entity, known as Vibrantz, encompassed a comprehensive strategy involving brand identity, naming, visuals, and communication materials. The primary color palette featured magnesium blue, carbon gray, and white, with a secondary palette including four complementary shades of blue and additional colors like burgundy and green to represent the core companies. The bold, condensed logotype symbolized Vibrantz's global presence, reflecting strength and confidence while celebrating its global heritage. Vibrantz's branding marked a significant milestone in the histories of the three merging companies, driven by their ambition to become a leading global specialty chemicals and materials company, as depicted by the globe in the brand mark. The NRG Group sought the help of OWDT to enhance their digital presence by designing a new website for NRG Park that could depict a lively setting suitable for a variety of events, and cater to a broader audience. The existing website was static, lifeless, and didn't effectively showcase upcoming events or communicate the energy of the park. To address this, OWDT partnered with NRG Park’s internal marketing team to understand their brand strategy and user experience. Recommendations included a dynamic and interactive event page, an aggregated social media page, and a dynamic FAQ page with an intelligent web-application for question submission. OWDT developed a user-centric design that captured the experiences at NRG Park’s five facilities using Interactive Modular Navigation Blocks (IMNB) and the Modular Event Display Tool (MEDT) to enable easy navigation, event browsing, and ticket purchasing. The redesigned website, featuring SVG animations and artistic direction, not only increased venue reservation applications and event diversity but also boosted NRG Park’s reputation as Houston’s iconic venue for world-class events, ultimately benefiting the local economy. The website's functionality made vendor reservations easier and increased overall user satisfaction, leading to increased bookings and setting the stage for the NRG Park brand's future developments. This transformation underlined the importance of top-tier digital presentation in supporting and conveying a brand’s internal and external principles and bolstered NRG Park's standing in the event-hosting industry.
