SAAM is a Chilean multinational company that provides foreign trade services by means of its three business divisions: Port Terminals, Towage and Logistics. SAAM has over 50 years experience and operates in 13 countries throughout North, Central and South America, creating jobs for over 8,000 workers.

The company is one of the major port operators in America, the leading company providing towage services in South America and the fourth-largest towage services provider in the world. SAAM is associated with strategic local and global operators in the different markets where it operates. These include SSA Marine, the largest terminal operator in the United States; SMIT, the second-largest towage operator in the world and a subsidiary of Dutch group Boskalis and American Airlines.

SAAM is the main asset of Sociedad Matriz SAAM S.A., an open stock corporation incorporated in 2011. The company’s shares are listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange and it is part of the IPSA index that brings together the 40 largest companies in Chile.
