Toreachout was created to provide children and teenagers with a resource to rapidly alert and communicate with their parents and/or guardians in the case of an emergency. The client recognized that children today face a wide range of potentially dangerous situations; ranging from threats of physical harm and violence, to instances of severe psychological and emotional distress. To address this, the client wanted to find a solution that would not only connect children and teenagers with the adults responsible for them. Simpalm collaborated with the client to design and develop an application that would satisfy both of the client’s goals by incorporating two interfaces; one for parents/guardians and the other for children. The parent interface allows adults to see their child’s location and receive alert notifications and messages. The child interface lets users send alerts directly to their parents’ account in the case of a potential or actual emergency.
MER needed a way to stay in touch with the participants in their projects. The surveys they send to the participants can be months apart, which makes it difficult to reach participants who may have changed their contact information in that time. The follow-up surveys are very important to the research projects, so there was a need for a better way to ensure extended contact with the participants. MER had previously developed an app to solve this problem, but the challenge persisted. We worked with the MER team to create a new app from scratch that could suit their current needs as well as scale up to accommodate hundreds of projects with thousands of participants. We came up with two platforms: a mobile app for participants to create a profile where they can update their contact information and access their surveys, and a web application that lets the client manage the projects and send surveys and notifications to participants through the app.
The ASRA coder app is an educational and reference application for healthcare practitioners and professionals published on the Google Play store and Apple App Store. Based on 2020 AMA/CPT Code, the user can search by procedure category or E&M with anatomical/procedural descriptions; CPT codes and their descriptions; Medicare National Average Rates including physician fee schedules for facility and non-facility, hospital outpatient, and total RVUs; and coding tips and special instructions to aid the physician/practice in obtaining accurate and timely payments. ASRA Coder has the following features: The app contains Pain guidelines and Regional Anesthesia guidelines from various publications. The app is built around the ASRA Anticoagulation Guidelines. Users can use the search function to easily navigate to the particular guidelines. The app is fairly simple and easy to navigate using ‘restart’ anchor text. Their program provides relationship and financial education through workshops to promote well-being and stability to families. Families in the program use the Together Program’s Mobile Application to follow the workshop courseworks. Participants can sign into the app to view the documents, case studies, and other files, used to teach each lesson. One ipad app is for customers to check in and see their available rewards. The other ipad app is for location attendants and employees to manage customer profiles. The apps work together to create a seamless process and great experience for business owners to send promotions and for customers to enjoy playing.
