TheRealLuxury is a premium online marketplace based in Slovenia, offering high-end products like Rolex watches, Hermès bags, Louis Vuitton scarves, exclusive alcohol, luxury furniture, jewelry, and cosmetics. Operating since 2020, the platform serves both B2C and C2C markets, allowing customers to buy, sell, and rent luxury items, extending their life cycle. The Challenge The client hired a contractor to redesign and upgrade the marketplace. After six months, the contractor failed to deliver and handed over the project to Simtech Development. Key issues included: Expired SSL certificate, risking customer data and trust; Full server storage, causing the site to crash; Outdated design unsuitable for the luxury segment;   No technical team or proper documentation from the start.   Project Goals Restore the marketplace’s stable and secure operation; Set up a reliable hosting environment; Conduct a technical audit in preparation for redesign; Integrate a new design before Milan Fashion Week; Enable easy content management for the client’s team.   Simtech Development Solution Infrastructure & Security. Identified major issues, including manual monitoring of C2C sales and hard-coded elements that blocked content updates. Design Integration. Implemented the client’s Figma designs, added animations, optimized images, improved mobile responsiveness, and revamped the user account interface. Content Management. Replaced hard-coded sections with admin tools, allowing the client to update banners, articles, links, and product blocks independently.
