Objective:  To develop an application for Instagram users which would allow to build chains of common acquaintances to celebrities, businessmen, politicians and people a user is interested in, establish business connections, and more. The app enables users to: – Build chains – the shortest route to any Instagram user – Edit a built chain – Delete participants from a built chain. The chain will be rebuilt without participation of remote users – Look through and edit chains at any time – Browse other users’ chains where you are a participant – Save your chain as infographics – Keep the infographics within the app – Share your results with friends on Instagram – Browse the 10 most popular users Browse the 10 most popular users – Participate in contests and receive cool prizes   Result:  We made the project that met our customer goals. We created a powerful and modern application that differs by high-speed data processing and quality calculations performance. We got great experience of work with API and data, profile analysis and complicated algorithms to chains construction.

Objective:  To develop an entertainment app that enables users to choose the most exciting events (cinema, concerts, exhibitions etc.) according to their location, interests and plans.   Solution:  When our team received this project, the application was already half-done, but the result of the previous developers left much to be desired. Thus, firstly we had to introduce a lot of changes to the solution existing at that time and rewrite the code. Another challenge was the state of app’s UI/UX which required a lot of effort, too. To define what would be the best for the app, we decided to conduct thorough target audience research and competitor analysis, and used it as the basis for the further design and development. The result of our efforts is the app notable for: – integration with user profile in social networks, as well as identifying user preferences – saving and sharing information – data personalization – filter system to specify the search – engaging and simple user experience. Result:  Full and easy-to-use entertainment guide that offers its users plenty of opportunities to keep abreast with cultural life and   most exciting events. The rich functionality is implemented in a simple and beautiful design.

Objective:  To develop an Android application for Sony retailer’s merchandisers aimed to facilitate their daily working routine, raise their productivity, and provide the retailer with better control over their work. Result: We developed a client server application that enables merchandisers to prepare reports including shelf display photos, display tables, and  information about competitors using Android tablet. Completed reports can then be sent to the headquarters server for analysis with just a few clicks. The system also includes a number of screens with complicated tables requiring layout optimization, which we provided.

Objective:  To finish working on the project in HR process automation domain. To implement the product in the infrastructure of the end customer. To make security analysis and eliminate potential threats.To modernize the system and develop mobile applications. Business tasks: – To create a site mobile version – To update design and usability of the current version – To make system safety testing and eliminate potential problems – To make a system a modular one in order to allow to easily customize it to the needs of end customers with minimal effort – To implement SSO module (a single login) for integration with LDAP (the system of access control in customer infrastructure) – To implement data integration and synchronisation with Core HR and HR Cascade systems – To finish working on such features as Gamification and Enrolment Approval – To develop iOS and Android mobile applications Result:  We developed a complicated e-learning system for efficient staff education which would involve various trainings, methodologies, gamification tools, convenient reporting system, and allow to analyze employee results, create groups for teamwork and much more. We successfully solved all issues and challenges appearing during the system development, and built a complex e-learning web application and its mobile version with rich functionality. During this project we received great and useful experience in working with Amazon, Yii framework and PHP tools as well.

Objective:  To create a user-friendly online and offline multiplayer sports application. The first launch was focused on tennis, but later the app can be easily modified for use with other kinds of sports. A long-term goal is to combine it with a social network. The app’s concept is based on the competitive nature of the target audience – amateur tennis players. The app involves the following features that allow users to: – find friends / potential opponents – challenge them to a match – choose time and date – choose venue – send the challenge – record the result of the challenge – win points – move up a global ranking, regional ranking and ranking among “friends”. An important selling point is the idea of gamification of UX. Result:  A sports app with simple and smooth interface that allows users to challenge each other, schedule games, participate in global ratings, share results.

Objective: To develop a platform for sales promotion and social advertising. The platform is intended for clothing stores and boutiques. The main peculiarity of the project is two mobile applications that allow sellers to take photos of their campaign products and post them online, while store owners can help their clients to follow the campaigns’ updates and get various bonuses. The app has to be easily scalable up to 1 million users as well as support all latest iPhone models and iOS versions. Result: AdMark is a complex solution comprising two mobile applications and a web interface for administration and analytics, which helps stores and boutiques to promote their offers and discounts, and also to connect more closely with their customers and provide them with better shopping experience. Now we are working on implementing new features in the app.

Objective:   Smartym was asked to assist with the development of a complex online platform for UK real estate market, aimed at improving business processes/productivity for both agencies and individual agents. The platform has to be easily scalable and be able to process large amounts of real estate data for immediate access, including days on market, demographics, yield, the price for rent/sale, the price asked/paid, etc.   The platform has to meet following requirements: Being able to process 1M+ of properties records plus 12 000 individual UK postcodes datasets Aggregate/analyze various data from hundreds of data providers Build heat maps for best data visualization experience Provide smooth real-time experience with interactive maps Have flexible scaling mechanism for high-load periods Provide easy-to-read reports based on user’s queries
