This is a web/mobile application for managing a fleet of vehicles, offering real-time visibility of their location and status, generating activity reports, and providing exception alerts. The vehicles are equipped with an IoT device that enables remote locking, unlocking, starting, and stopping of the engine. These devices are assigned an IP address and can transfer data over a network. With this IoT device, there is a feature for remotely controlling the locking and unlocking of the vehicles through a software interface. The integration of the IoT device is done using its API, ensuring that when the driver activates the lock/unlock function, the web server validates the request and then calls the device API to execute the command. Similarly, there are other commands available such as starting or stopping the engine. When a vehicle is added to the fleet, it is equipped with the IoT device and registered on the device's API along with the vehicle's plate number. This is a SaaS based application & Fleet companies can subscribe to the Fleet Management web application to efficiently manage their fleet of vehicles, drivers, and fleet managers.
