Customer Our client is developing a services marketplace with a mobile application for customers. Objective As part of the in-house team, complete the active development phase and prepare the minimum viable product version of the application (MVP) for release. Solution The project was in the active development phase, and we were involved in the creation of every feature. For example, we implemented the registration state recovery: even if the user interrupts the registration process and exits the application, later they can return to the same point. We are also responsible for implementing a biometrics module and a customer profile. Results Previously, the developers' efforts and time were spent on support and development of the main marketplace platform, so the deadlines were constantly postponed, with only the registration stage of the application implemented. Our client is a chain of over 30 restaurants with their own web-based food delivery application. Our goal was to ensure that the application could support 10 times the current load. Objective Conduct technical audits of CI/CD infrastructure and processes for fault tolerance, security and manageability. Solution Working closely with the customer's team, we identified a number of solutions in use that were not in line with common infrastructure practices (anti-patterns). After that, together with the client, we categorized the defects found by criticality and began to develop a plan for their elimination. We proposed two solutions: ? try to correct deficiencies of the existing infrastructure ? migrate to a more suitably arranged infrastructure Our client chose the second option, after which we examined their internal processes and proposed a move from self-managed to cloud-managed infrastructure. In creating the new architecture, we were not looking for a short-term solution to a current problem, but a method that would work for the future. We proposed the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach. It will allow the customer to better manage their environments, and if necessary, change cloud providers at a lower cost.
