About the client: Amiga is a conversational AI based app for parenting. It is designed to cover two age groups: Teens (13-15) and Pre-Teens (8-12). The app is based on social emotional learning (SEL). Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. People with strong social-emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, professionally, and socially. From effective problem-solving to self-discipline, from impulse control to emotion management and more, SEL provides a foundation for positive, long-term effects on kids, adults, and communities. This platform helps parents to communicate with their child and handle a situation responsibly. The AI bot understands a child’s emotional state with a help of different surveys and provides the most suited solution to a parent when they’re faced with any challenges. The app also provides on insights about child’s needs. Furthermore, these experiences can be shared on the platform to build a useful community. The platforms were built with Flutter for frontend development whilst backend development was done in Python due to its versatility.
