Strokefocus is an open-source collaborative project run by survivors, caregivers, support groups and professionals to create better stroke care and support. The project started as Wohaula which means “I got better” in Mandarin. Later, we renamed it Strokefocus. The team estimates that in the US alone, 99.9% of all those impacted by stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI) have no long term post-discharge support. It is our mission to find a sustainable model to bring post-discharge peer support to everyone who needs it.
